Transient Loss of Consciousness-NICE

This is a review of TLC on A4Medicine. TLC or transient loss of consciousness is defined as spontaneous loss of consciousness with complete recovery. This is a stepwise summary of the NICE guidance. ECG is an important investigation in TLC and a 12 lead automated ECG machine should be used. Following an initial assessment, the GP can decide on management based on clinical suspicion. Conditions as syncope, epilepsy orthostatic hypotension are part of the differential diagnosis.
